Cornell shows they haven’t lost their step in off-season

Cornell picked up right where they left off on the volley- ball court from last year, taking part in a conference triangular Aug. 31, at Flambeau.

The Chiefs first faced off against Bruce, quickly putting the Red Raiders away. Cornell handily won the two sets, 25- 18 and 25-10.

It was then time to meet the hosts, who proved somewhat of a challenge. Cornell won the first set, 25-19, but the Fal- cons came back to take the second set, 25-22.

The Chiefs rallied in the third set, coming up with a 25-15 victory.

That gave Cornell a 4-1 win on the night, as the start to what they hope will be a repeat conference title season.
