Vavra completes first run

In a large field of competitors, senior Carly Vavra came in 95th at a Boyceville Invitational Aug. 25, for her Cornell-Lake Holcombe Knights Cross Country squad.

As the lone varsity runner, Vavra finished with a time of 31:12.3.

Because of the hot, humid day, Vavra was slowed down somewhat, but coach Greg Anderson says she is getting back into runner’s form as time goes on.

“She’s a trooper,” he said, “she works at it pretty hard.”
