Knights fall under hot bats of Loggers
With the last two regular games of the season canceled, from lack of players making up the squad, the Cornell-Lake Holcombe baseball program may have been a little rusty heading into Regional action. The co-oped team headed to Phillips for the June 10, match-up, on a hot, steamy day.
Storms fired up later in the night, but it was Phillips who brought the lightning. The Loggers kept up a steady barrage of runs against the visiting team and while the Knights put up six runs on the board, it wasn’t enough to overcome the offensive onslaught.
The game saw Phillips come away with the victory and hand the Knights the end of their season, 20-6.
