Warriors win over Knights
By Ginna Young
In their last game before the final week of the season begins, the Cornell-Lake Holcombe Knights Baseball team hosted Clear Lake, but the offense wasn’t there for the home team. The Warriors racked up 12 runs in the game, while the Knights only put up two on the board.
Seniors Brock Flater and Tate Sauerwein combined to pitch one and a third innings, while sophomore Cead Ewer finished the game, pitching four and two-thirds innings.
Offensively, senior Kaden Crank recorded 2 hits, and Ewer, junior Dylan Bowen and sophomore Max Sauerwein each added 1 hit.
Sitting at 1-12 overall, the Knights remain winless in the East Lakeland Conference, at 0-10.
“The underclassman are leading this team, hoping our upperclassman can step it up and help out soon,” said coach Brandon Baldry.
