Cadott’s golf program hit the links over the week, looking to improve team and individual scores.

May 11 Marshfield Invitational

Heading to Marshfield, the Hornets placed seventh out of 11 teams, earning 5 conference points, even though the team was a little short-handed on players.

Senior Cole Sopiarz carried off honors for the day, scoring a 43. Junior Sam Scheidler came next, with 48, while junior Jacob Ackley ended with 50 and junior Ethan Foldy carded a 54.

May 15 Cadott Invitational

After a few days rest, Cadott hosted multiple schools for a home invitational at Whispering Pines Golf Course.

“It was nice to have Peter Weir in our lineup again,” said coach Scott Christenson.

The Hornets again finished eighth, with 388 strokes.

Scheidler scored a 92 for Cadott, with the sophomore Weir right behind, with 93. Sopiarz came next, with 99, and Foldy ended with a 104.

Ackley rounded things out, carding a 106.

“I thought Sam and Peter golfed pretty well,” said Christenson. “Now we just need four golfers to score well on the same day.”
