Chiefs dominate over LCO

After some time off over the holiday break, the Cornell girls basketball squad was ready for action, as they hosted Lac Courte Oreilles (LCO) Jan. 8.

“I was very proud of the girls,” said coach Courtney Yanko. “They went into the game with high energy and ready to play.”

Led by sophomore Kelsea Popp, who continued to drive into the lane, the Chiefs flooded the scoreboard, while holding back LCO’s scoring. As a result, the game went the way of Cornell, 61-33.
