Cornell caves to Warriors

By Ginna Young The Cornell girls basketball team took the trip to Winter, to take on the Warriors in an East Lakeland Conference match-up Dec. 8. “The girls really came out strong tonight,” said coach Courtney Yanko. “We had solid defense and took the lead early in the game.” Winter led by six going into halftime and while Cornell hoped to stop the Warriors’ drives into the lane, the Chiefs couldn’t hold their opponents and the game went to the home team, 43-23.
