Russell J. Thums, 73, Medford, made an initial appearance and entered a plea of not guilty to speeding 11-15 mph over the limit.
Sara Jean C. Burran, 42, Westboro, pled no contest to disorderly conduct and entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for a period of nine months. Upon successful completion of the agreement, the court will dismiss the case.
Travis G. Hamm, 40, Thorp, pled no contest to a reduced charge of speeding 11-15 mph over the limit and forfeited $175.30.
Ivan W. Leid, 38, Withee, pled no contest to an amended charge of unreasonable noise and forfeited $389.50. The original charge had been reckless driving-endangering safety.
Levi M. Miller, 21, Sheldon, pled no contest to illegal shining of deer, elk or bear (as a party to a crime). He forfeited $2,468; must submit to a DNA sample; and all DNR Chapter 2 privileges and approvals were revoked/ suspended for three years. Counts of unauthorized taking of bear/deer from the wild (as a party to a crime) and three counts of hunting without required approval (as a party to a crime) were dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes.
Menno M. Miller, 20, Sheldon, pled no contest to illegal shining of deer, elk or bear (as a party to a crime). He forfeited $2,468; must submit to a DNA sample; must forfeit the Marlin .22 long rifle; and all DNR Chapter 2 privileges or approvals were revoked/suspended for three years. Dakota M. Rhein, 22, Eau Claire, pled no contest to a reduced charge of speeding 1-10 mph over the limit and forfeited $175.30.
Jonathan Stromblad, 22, Rib Lake, pled no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. He forfeited $263.50 for each offense.
Matthew J. Weiler, 26, Ogema, pled no contest to reckless driving-endangering safety and forfeited $89.50.
Weiler also pled no contest to operating a motor vehicle without insurance and forfeited $200.50.
Ashley M. Haynes, 31, Medford, pled no contest to possession of THC. Sentence was withheld and Haynes was placed on probation for one year on the condition she pay a forfeiture of $443 and supervision fees as ordered by the Department of Corrections; submit to a DNA sample; and undergo counseling as deemed appropriate by probation. Haynes also pled no contest to a count of maintaining a drug trafficking place (as a party to a crime) and entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for a period of one year. As terms of the agreement, she must not commit any criminal offenses during the period of the agreement; notify the Taylor County district attorney and clerk of court offices of any address change within 10 days; comply with all of the terms of bond, which continues to remain in effect during the period of the agreement; and successfully complete her probationary period and all required conditions of her probation. Upon successful completion of the agreement, the state will move to dismiss the charge. A count of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes.
