Michael J. Stock, 59, Medford, and Dehl J. Redmann, 28, Athens, were involved in an accident on October 13 at 11:36 a.m. on Hwy 13 in the town of Chelsea. According to the accident report, the Stock vehicle was southbound on Hwy 13 towing a pontoon on a trailer. The driver of the Stock vehicle slowed for traffic when the trailer/boat was struck from behind by the Redmann vehicle. Stock sustained possible injuries, but was not transported for medical treatment. The Stock vehicle sustained damage to the rear, left rear corner and left side rear. The Redmann vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front, right front corner and left front corner. Following too close by Redmann was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

Bryan K. Schultz, 58, Medford, and Travis A. Holzl, 30, Medford, were involved in an accident on October 15 at 10:52 a.m. at the intersection of South Second Street and East Perkins Street in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, both vehicles were northbound on South Second Street. The Schultz vehicle stopped for the stop sign at the intersection with East Perkins Street and backed up, striking the Holzl vehicle. Schultz said he did not see the Holzl vehicle behind him. Both vehicles sustained minor damage to their respective ends. Unsafe backing by Schultz was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

Kyle J. Anderson, 34, Stetsonville, was involved in an accident on September 20 at 6:34 p.m. on Robin Drive in the town of Deer Creek. According to the accident report, the Anderson vehicle was northbound on Robin Drive when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle entered the west ditch and overturned, coming to a stop on the driver’s side. Anderson exited the vehicle and left the scene, but was located by law enforcement. motor vehicle in an aggressive/reckless manner and other contributing actions by Anderson were listed in the report as factors in the accident. He was issued citations for operating while under the influence-third offense, operating while revoked and failure of operator to notify police of an accident.

Allen R. Williams, 70, Medford, was involved in an accident on October 15 at 11:07 a.m. on Billings Avenue in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Williams vehicle was backing out of a driveway at 542 Billings Ave. when it struck a semi-trailer that was legally-parked along the side of the street. The Williams vehicle sustained damage to the rear, right rear corner and right side rear. There was no damage to the semitrailer. Unsafe backing by Williams was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

David G. Ertl, 59, Medford, was involved in an accident on October 15 at 5:37 p.m. on CTH M in the town of Chelsea. According to the accident report, the Ertl vehicle was westbound on CTH M when a deer ran across the roadway in front of the vehicle. Ertl sustained suspected minor injuries, but was not transported for medical attention. The vehicle sustained damage to the left front corner.

Thomas A Rice, 42, Memphis, Tenn., was involved in an accident on October 17 at 10:30 a.m. on South Park Avenue in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, a semi tractor and trailer operated by Rice was making a left-hand turn onto South Park Avenue when the vehicle entered a ravine at 835 S. Park Ave., damaging the lawn and sump pump line. Rice said he was focused on making sure he did not strike a mailbox while making the turn and did not realize the vehicle was leaving the roadway. There was no damage to the vehicle.

Alonso Garcia Sosa, 22, Rib Lake, was involved in an accident on October 19 at 11:25 p.m. on CTH M in the town of Greenwood. According to the accident report, the Garcia Sosa vehicle was westbound on CTH M when the driver swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway and the vehicle entered the ditch. The vehicle sustained damage to the front, right front corner, right side front, left front corner, rear and undercarriage. Swerved or avoided due to wind, slippery surface, motor vehicle, object or non-motorist in roadway by Garcia Sosa was listed in the report as being a factor in the accident. He was issued a citation for operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Shawn E. Hartl, 36, Medford, was involved in an accident on October 20 at 2:20 p.m. on Division Drive in the town of Hammel. According to the accident report, the Hartl vehicle was southbound on Division Drive when the driver looked at a notification on his phone. The vehicle drifted off the roadway with the passenger side tires going into the west ditch. The vehicle traveled like that for a distance before striking a driveway culvert, causing the vehicle to roll over before coming to a stop on the passenger side. Hartl complained of substantial pain in his lower back and was transported to Aspirus Medford Hospital for medical treatment. There was disabling damage to the entire vehicle and it was towed from the scene. Failure to control and manually operating a hand-held mobile phone by Hartl were listed in the report as factors in the accident. He was issued a citation for failure to wear a seatbelt.

Curtiss J. Crow Jr., 68, Neopit, and Karen M. Linsdau, 44, Rib Lake, were involved in an accident on October 15 at 2:04 p.m. in the parking lot at the Taylor County Courthouse in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Crow vehicle was backing out of a parking space. Linsdau was walking through the parking lot and stopped behind the Crow vehicle when she saw it backing up. Linsdau did not take any evasive action and was struck by the Crow vehicle. Crow said he did not see or strike Linsdau. Linsdau sustained possible injuries, but was not transported for medical treatment. There was no damage to the Crow vehicle.

The following deer-related accidents were reported: Denice L. Poetzl, 47, Medford, on October 17 at 7:15 p.m. on Hwy 64 in the town of Medford.

Kaitlyn A. Zygowicz, 18, Medford, on October 19 at 11:37 p.m. on Hwy 64 in the town of Holway.
