Fundraiser planned to buy new band instruments for middle school
The Medford Area Middle School (MAMS) Band program is raising money for new instruments.
“We raised a lot of money last school year thanks to the support of many community members,” said Kendra Junk. This year they are looking to purchase 2 piccolos ($1,300 each), a few clarinets, ($500 each), and some alto saxophones ($1,000 each).
On Sunday, September 28 MAMS will be holding a mattress fundraiser. There will be approximately 20 different mattresses set up in the MAMS cafeteria from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. People will be ordering brand new name brand mattresses to be delivered at a later date.
People who are interested in a new mattress, are invited to come check out the sale. Linked below is the Facebook event with more detailed information on the specific brands of mattresses it can be viewed at https:// bit.ly/47emmaj.
There is financing available and people can order short queens for campers. There are discounts available for school employees, police, fire, EMS, and military personnel.
If you would like to donate money or an instrument to the band program, please drop it off at the middle school office for Kendra Junk.
