On May 13, I had an article published in the TRG paper to express my opinion about a few happenings going on in the world and also my concern about the hard times our farmers are going through. I then received a letter from an unidentified person spewed with hate and questioning if I am a Christian. I would like to share it with readers. The letter reads as follows: “Funny how you are a Trump-lover. He can’t even speak in full sentences. A young elementary school child has better speakings. You are very vindictive and a name-caller, just like Trump.
“Have you not been paying attention? He demeans women, especially, and anyone else who gets in his way. I’m wondering if you call yourself a Christian. You certainly don’t act like it in your words. You work yourself up in such a state that your health is going to take its toll. I guess it will be interesting on Judgment Day, watching Satan lead Trump and you and others away. I wonder if you even get along with your own family since you have such narrow views and hatred in your beings.
“I wouldn’t give my name because it would just give you another opportunity to vent your anger and hatred--just like Trump does. Only difference is, yourself couldn’t fire me like he does to anyone who happens to speak the truth and bother his small brain mentality. Voting for Trump is not the same as voting Republican.”
In my 80 years of living, I am a Christian, I love my family, and I don’t have hate for anyone. I would like to say to the unidentified writer: The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.
