1942-2022 Claudette Marie (Decker) Saladin, 80, born March 2, 1942, died Nov. 29, 2022 at Clark County Rehab and Living Center where she resided since January, 2020. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Father Timothy Oudenhoven will officiate. After graduating from Dorchester High School, Claudette relocated to Milwaukee, Wisc. where she met and married Joseph Saladin in November, 1962. They later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she was employed in administrative positions with various law firms. After a divorce, she moved back to Milwaukee and was employed as a bookkeeper at Quarles & Brady LLC. In 1983 she returned to Las Vegas and continued to be employed by law firms in managerial and/or administrative positions. After the death of her mother in 1999, she returned to Wisconsin to live with her father in Dorchester. She worked in bookkeeping, administrative and various other positions while in the Medford area. Her parents, Frank and Neva Decker; her brother, Fred Decker and her sister, Kristine (Roger) Ellenbecker, preceded her in death. 1961-2022 Lee M. Zenner, age 61, passed away peacefully on Dec. 1, 2022 at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, Minn. after complications from a recent surgery. A visitation will be held on Dec. 9, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St. Hastings, Minn. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. with a reception to follow at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel. Lee was born Aug. 13, 1961 in Medford, to Clifford and Elaine Zenner. He grew up on a dairy farm with his three siblings. He graduated High School from River Falls, with the class of 1979. Lee met the love of his life, Joyce in River Falls in 1990 and later moved to Hastings, Minn. in 1991. They were married on Sept. 17, 1994 and raised two beautiful children together, Clayton and Caelee. Lee had a larger than life personality with his sense of humor and huge heart. He had a gift for meeting and connecting with people instantly, and he would do anything for anyone. He worked various warehouse jobs throughout the years at Grist Mill, Conagra, Burmeister, Stuart C Irby, and the last one being Rienchem; while also working part time for Smart Ride on the weekends. Lee and Joyce purchased the Smart Ride company in 2016 and have owned and operated it ever since. His passions were playing pull tabs, watching the Green Bay Packers, Badgers, and any football games to follow his football boards. He enjoyed travelling to different campgrounds with the children when they were young along with family and friends and continued to do so in the last few years with his wife, Joyce at the Cannon Falls Campground. Lee loved spending time and hanging out with his friends and family, and any extra time he had with his three spoiled grand-dogs; Zeus, Tuck, & Ada. 1923-2022 Betty E. Bork, 99, of Medford, formerly of Decatur, Ill., died Friday, Nov. 25, 2022 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 1 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Medford with the Rev. Ralph Shorey officiating. Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday morning at Macon County Memorial Park in Decatur, Ill. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Thursday at the church. She was born Sept. 3, 1923 in Decatur to Edward and Lydia (Frahlman) Donaldson. She graduated from Decatur High School in 1941. Betty had met young Paul Bork, who went to serve his country in the military during WWII. During the war, Betty worked at the local war plant, awaiting Paul’s safe return. After the war, Paul returned to Decatur and the two were married on June 5, 1946. They resided in Decatur where Betty made their home and raised their three children. Once the oldest child started college, Betty went back to work as secretary for the Boy Scouts of America. After retirement, she worked part-time for the Girl Scouts of America. Paul preceded her in death in 1983. In 1996, Betty’s daughter, Lynette lost her husband suddenly. Without hesitation, Betty moved to Medford to help her daughter with her young children. In Decatur, Betty was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She was devoted to her faith and enjoyed attending church and bible study classes. While in Medford, she attended Trinity Lutheran Church. Her most cherished moments were time spent with her grandchildren. Betty is survived by her three children, Charlie Bork, Lynette Binns, both of Medford, Paul Bork of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Eloise Neuendorf of Cleveland, Tenn., four beloved grandchildren, Nathaniel Bork of Ft. 1951-2022 Dennis W. Brager, 71 of Gilman, died on Monday, Nov. 21, 2022 at Aspirus Hospital-Wausau. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022 at New Hope Presbyterian Church-Hannibal, Pastor Beverly Thompson officiated. Burial followed in Meadowbrook Cemetery-Gilman. Visitation was held one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. He was born on July 8, 1951 in River Falls the son of the late Kenneth and Marian (Neuhaus) Brager. Dennis grew up south of Gilman, attended Gilman Public Schools, was a member of the Gilman FFA and Gilman High School wrestling team and graduated from Gilman High School in 1971. Dennis was a skilled worker and was employed by many local businesses including: Gilman Tractor and Implement Dealership, Drangel’s Cheese Factory of Gilman, EJ Dairy of Thorp, Ray’s Body Shop, Romig’s Hardware in Gilman, Gilman Movie Theatre, Town of Aurora Recycling Center and Black River Industries in Medford. Dennis especially enjoyed helping friends and neighbors with haymaking, stacking wood, snow shoveling and countless other ways! Dennis had many interests including watching and attending sports events: Green Bay Packers (Brett Favre) and Brewer’s Baseball, NASCAR racing (Jeff Gordon). As kids growing up with Dennis we enjoyed so many family times together: playing together, softball games and “500” on the front lawn, swimming, fishing, bareback riding on our Shetland pony (Smokey), playing with our dogs (Lady and Junior), watching/feeding birds, watching trains passing nearby on the RR track (counting cars, listening for train whistles…), wrestling and target practice with brothers, hunting for deer, driving car/tractor for floats during Gilman parades (fall festival, homecoming), deer hunting, swimming, fishing, family camping trips, bowling (Romig’s Bowling team). He enjoyed watching TV (sports, reruns of Westerns (Gunsmoke, Bonanza) and Game Shows (Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Let’s Make a Deal). Dennis had a beautiful and resonant voice! He loved singing hymns in church, Western music (Alan Jackson and Merle Haggard) and particularly enjoyed recorded music and live performances by Irish singer Danny O’Donnell. Our brother Dennis (“Denny” to friends) was a warm, gentle and caring person, friend to countless people (more than we will ever know). He had a gift of friendship, made new friends easily and constantly remained connected with his many friends. He knew their interests, what was important to each of them and remained their loyal, devoted friend for life! Our family has learned from his friends that “Nobody doesn’t love Denny,” “He has a Heart of Gold” and “He would give the shirt off his back to anyone.” Dennis has received Christ as his personal savior and is now in Heaven, reunited with his dear Mom and Dad, walking the streets of Gold, joyfully and freely singing with multitudes of Angels. Crash reports Leah Arline Andersen, 38, of Rib Lake, and Rose M. Thums, 60, of Rib Lake, slowed to make a right hand turn into the north Kwik Trip parking lot, on Hwy 13, on November 16, at 8 a.m., in the city of Medford. As Thums executed the turn, Andersen’s vehicle lost control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions, left the roadway and struck the curb before striking Thums’ vehicle.

2006-2022 Weston Charles Rogers, 16, of Medford, town of Browning, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 26, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Patrick McConnell officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Medford. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Saturday at the church. He was born May 30, 2006 in Spooner to Daniel and Diana (Rudolph) Rogers. They lived in Stone Lake until Weston was in first grade, then the family moved to his mother’s hometown of Medford, where Weston was currently a junior at Medford High School. When he was younger, Weston was active in 4H, and also ran cross country. Once he was in high school, he worked as an attendant at the pool, worked in the greenhouse at Fourmens, and was currently working at Walmart. He shared an interest in computers with his large group of friends, and was planning on building a gaming computer from scratch. He also loved cats…especially his buddy, Smokey the cat. Smokey got to know the sound of Weston’s car and would wait anxiously for him to come in the door. He will be remembered by his family as always helping others, whether it was answering a call from Grandma Mary to fix her computer, cutting firewood, helping with the farmer’s market, or cooking, Weston was willing to help. He had a quiet nature and was always listening, so when he would throw out his witty and often humorous one-liners, they were always on point. Weston was a true blessing and his family is thankful for his 16 years of life. She enjoyed reading, word searches, shopping, traveling, camping, being with her grandchildren, and socializing with family and friends.
