Two car collisions

CRASH REPORTS

Zachary Ernest Feind, 27, of Owen, was northbound on Hwy 13, on December 14, at 4:36 p.m., in the city of Medford. Christian Lyle Spinler, 18, of Medford, was entering traffic from a private driveway. Spinler said his brakes were insufficient to stop the vehicle prior to collision. Failure to yield the right of way by Spinler, was a contributing factor in the accident.

Linda R. Mantell, 46, of Medford, was backing up on Hwy 64, on December 15, at 8 a.m. Mantell did not see Jennifer Etsitty, 39, of Stetsonville. Mantell’s back bumper/ hitch struck the front bumper of Etsitty’s vehicle. This did not cause any damage to Mantell’s vehicle, but it did cause minor damage to the front bumper area of Etsitty’s vehicle.

Yoladis Mallen-Luis, 34, of Medford, was driving through the Medford Area Middle School parking lot on December 17, at 8:05 a.m., when she struck a metal handicapped parking sign causing damage to the sign and front bumper of the vehicle.

Kimberly Jaye Anderson, 37, of Rib Lake, was westbound on Hwy 64, on December 15, at 1:16 p.m, in the city of Medford. Anderson was stopped in traffic with the intent of making a left turn to go south on Main St. Jessica Marie Richard, 24, of Rib Lake, was traveling behind Anderson. Richard stated that she had looked down for a food item in her car, and did not see Anderson. Richard struck the rear of Anderson’s vehicle.

Evan Carter Wantlin, 16, of Medford, was driving southbound on CTH C, in the town of Browning, on December 7, at 10:54 a.m., when he skidded into the west ditch due to icy road conditions. Wantlin struck trees, spun around, and came to rest facing northeast. Speed too fast for conditions was a contributing factor in the accident. Vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.

Chance William Zach, 33, of Gilman, was making a left turn off of Perkins St. onto Hwy 13, on December 8, at 7:15 a.m., in the city of Medford, and took the turn too sharp. The rear driver’s side of the semi-truck trailer, owned by J. Bauer Trucking Inc. struck a traffic signal on the south edge of the intersection. The traffic signal was rendered inoperable and broke off its base. There was no visible damage to the trailer.

The following deer versus car accident was reported: Lonnie H. Schrock, 22, of Medford, on December 13, at 10:30 p.m., on Hwy 64, in the town of Grover.
