Ronald H. Schreiner, 72, Medford, and a vehicle owned by Tasha L. Ulrich, Prentice, were involved in an accident on November 26 at 1:07 p.m. in a parking lot at 493 E. Perkins St. in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Schreiner vehicle was backing up when the driver mistook the accelerator pedal for the brake pedal and the vehicle stuck the legally-parked and unoccupied Ulrich vehicle. The Ulrich vehicle sustained damage to the front, right front corner and left front corner. The Schreiner vehicle sustained damage to the rear, left rear corner and left side rear. Unsafe backing by Schreiner was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

John W. Dempsey, 58, Merrill, was involved in an accident on November 22 at 8:05 a.m. on CTH M in the town of Grover. According to the accident report, the Dempsey vehicle was westbound on CTH M negotiating a curve in the roadway when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck several trees and rolled onto its right side. Dempsey sustained suspected serious injuries and was transported to Aspirus Medford Hospital for medical treatment. The vehicle sustained damage to the front, rear and entire right side. It was towed from the scene. Failure to control by Dempsey was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

Sandra P. Doyle, 76, Medford, was involved in an accident on November 22 at 3:30 p.m. in the parking lot at Medford Elementary School in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Doyle vehicle was making a left turn in the parking lot of the school and did not see a barrier post due to the sun. The vehicle struck the post and scraped along the length of the vehicle on the driver’s side. There was no damage to the post. Looked but did not see by Doyle was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.

Michael C. Wells, 32, Lublin, was involved in an accident on November 27 at 10:15 a.m. on Clark Drive in the town of Maplehurst. According to the accident report, the Wells vehicle was northbound on Clark Drive when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to slushy snow on the roadway and the vehicle entered the west ditch. The vehicle sustained minor damage to the front and undercarriage.

Travis J. Markow, 24, Medford, was involved in an accident on November 27 at 11:21 p.m. on CTH O in the town of Deer Creek. According to the accident report, the Markow vehicle was eastbound on CTH O when the driver lost control due to drifting snow on the roadway. The vehicle entered the south ditch and overturned onto its roof. The vehicle sustained damage to the left side front and top and was towed from the scene. Markow was issued a citation for a seatbelt violation.

The following deer-related accidents were reported:

Brian K. Cleveland, 54, Tripoli, was involved in an accident on November 29 at 1:58 p.m. on Berry Avenue in the town of Rib Lake. According to the accident report, the Cleveland vehicle and a non-contact vehicle were southbound on Hwy 102. The non-contact vehicle began slowing down and Cleveland assumed it was to allow him to pass. Cleveland was attempting to pass when the non-contact vehicle started to turn left onto Berry Avenue. Cleveland said he maneuvered around the non-contact vehicle to avoid a collision and his vehicle entered the southeast ditch at the intersection of Hwy 102 and Berry Avenue. His vehicle sustained minor damage to the front and undercarriage.

Kevin L. Syryczuk, 61, Lublin, on November 22 at 5:07 p.m. on Hwy 64 in the town of Ford.

Dawn I. Matyka, 53, Medford, on November 24 at 11:10 a.m. on CTH M in the town of Greenwood.

Richard W. Sigmund Sr., 78, Medford, on November 29 at 9:16 p.m. on CTH M in the town of Hammel.
