Rib Lake Ice Age Days will celebrate its 25th year this weekend as the community festival continues to be a source of community pride. The first Ice Age Days was held September 18-20, 1987 and it was timed to include the school district’s homecoming game. The main event of the first Ice Age Days was held outside of the village as the loop trail connecting Wood Lake County Park and the Ice Age National Scenic Trail was dedicated. The trail was recently restored by the Mobile Skills Crew, giving visitors to northeastern Taylor County a loop foot path rather than a linear experience on the path.
