Songs of Faith in Action

Doug and Dave have brought their talents of music, comedy, and faith to Medford Wisconsin with the performance of Mass Confusion!

Doug Bremmel and Dave Wilson have teamed up to bring you an in depth, comedic, and refreshing view to the way you would look at the typical Catholic Mass. Since 2015, this duo has worked to make going to church fun and relatable.

Fresh from Colorado this duo has created music for every member of the family to enjoy. They both felt that “God was calling them to do this.” Once they got together, everything fell into place. Doug and Dave met through their church in Colorado Springs, got started playing music during mass, and became fast friends. Doug proved that point by saying that “I bring out the comedian in Dave, and he brings out the musician in me.”

Dave, being the fiddler player of the group, having played in a country band himself, touring around Texas and so on, has a good insight on what needs to be done to make a group successful. He also has multiple country songs that he has written to his credit.

Doug has been involved with youth and family ministry for over 25 years traveling all over the country.

In 2015, the two started writing songs together and they wanted a way that they could share their talents. Doug stated that this will be their fourth year doing this show and touring. He is excited because they get to branch out and touch people with their music and bring hope to people who may not know where to turn when it comes to their faith. Doug and Dave also feel like they can give everyone a greater understanding about what it means to come to mass every week.

Year of 2019, marks the moment when Doug and Dave recorded and released their debut album, “Called.” Their sophomore album is said to be coming out this October called “The Faith we Live.”

Feeling that they can do more than just play music, Doug had brought it to Dave’s attention that they could try to write some of their own songs. So they threw caution to the wind, and went for it.

Doug claims that the songs all have a theme where they are “songs of faith in action,” and they wanted to write songs that were tangible and that people could really understand what the song is trying to say right from the start.

With a “Saturday Night Live” feel in mind, Doug and Dave started thinking of sketches they could do to make their performance interactive for people and also entertaining.

Dave had this idea of the Mass Confusion show for the last ten years and when he and Doug started working together, in 2015, everything fell into place. This show has become bigger than either of them could have imagined.

In their off time, Doug does local and national ministries, whereas Dave continues to play music. They each have their own respective families that they are both fortunate enough to not be away from for large amounts of time out of the year.

Doug and Dave have created a show that they say will keep the audience guessing throughout the whole show from the very beginning to the very last note.
