Thomas “Tom” L. Quednow, age 66, of Rib Lake, passed away at his home on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026. Tom was born on April 28, 1960, in Tomahawk, to the late Anton and Betty Gerstberger. After spending time in Houston, Texas, he returned to Wisconsin, where he made his home in Rib Lake. He was a longtime resident of the community and a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Tom enjoyed life and the simple pleasures that came with it. He loved golfing, fishing, attending concerts, and, most of all, spending time with family, cousins, and friends. A true sports fan, Tom proudly cheered on the Green Bay Packers, enjoyed attending Packer games, and followed the Houston Astros and Wisconsin Badgers. Tom had a gift for bringing laughter to those around him. He loved socializing, sharing stories, and telling jokes. Those who knew him will fondly remember his familiar punchline after a joke: “True story!” His humor and outgoing personality made him a memorable part of the lives of those who knew him. Above all, Tom had a special place in his heart for his beloved cat, Freddy Lee, who was his cherished companion.

Survivors include his brother, David Quednow, of Rib Lake; and his sister, Sharon Quednow, of Port Richey, Fla. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Betty; and his cat, Freddy Lee.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, at the Birds Nest in Rib Lake, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
