Tyler Johnson
Tyler S. Johnson, age 34, of Owen, passed away on July 6, 2026.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss. The Rev. Ken Schmidt will preside. Friends may greet the family from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is entrusted with the arrangements.
Tyler was born on September 23, 1991, the son of Rebecca (Williams) Johnson and Chester Johnson in Marshfield. He graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 2010. Tyler was active in band, golf and football. He continued his education at Chippewa Valley Technical College in automotive services. He then obtained his commercial driving license from Swift Academy Truck Driving School in Utah. Tyler then was the owner/operator of his own over-the-road semi with Expedite.
Tyler was a baptized and confirmed member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss. He enjoyed video gaming, hunting, fishing and brewing his own beer and mead.
Tyler is survived by his mother, Rebecca Johnson of Owen; his father, Chester Johnson of Minn.; his two brothers: Hunter Johnson and Gunnar Johnson of Owen; his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Jane Utke of Curtiss; a step-grandmother, Kayetta (Williams) Davis; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Chester Johnson, Jr.; grandfather, Marvin Williams; step-grandfather, Arlen Utke and paternal grandparents: Carl and Joan Johnson.
