Jewell Fay (Nash) LaNou

Jewell Fay (Nash) LaNou, 76, Cadott, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Bloomer.

Born March 17, 1950, in California, Jewell was the daughter of Jay Jewell Nash and Vivia Fay (Allen) Nash, and carried a piece of each of their names as her own.

She married Joseph LaNou, in 1968, and together, they built a life on the family farm.

A devoted homemaker, Jewell loved to travel, and took great joy in her flowers and garden. An amazing home cook, she passed her gifts for cooking and baking on to all of her children.

She is survived by her husband – Joseph; her children – Michelle LaNou, Wendi LaNou and Cory (Karie) LaNou; her grandchildren – Tanner Sima, Tyler Sima, Andrea Lee, Cole LaNou, Logan LaNou and Megan LaNou; her great-grandchildren – Teddy Sima and Alyssa Lee; and her brother-in-law – Jim (Rita) LaNou.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Jay and Vivia Nash; her parents-in-law – Louis and Laverne LaNou; her brother – Jay Nash Jr.; her sister – Leah Kubly; her brother-in-law – Arthur LaNou; her sisters-in-law – Judy LaNou and Jane Moucha; and her grandson – Steven Lee.

Visitation is Tuesday, June 16, from 4-7 p.m., and also one hour prior to the services, Wednesday morning, at Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott. Services follow, Wednesday, June 17, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Greg Sima officiating.

Interment is at the Pine Grove Cemetery, in the Town of Arthur, with a reception at the town hall, following the burial.
