Aria Thompson

Aria Thompson, age 86, of Monroe, died on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at UW Hospital.

Aria was born on February 11,1940, in rural Dorchester, the daughter of Edward and Sigrid Brecke. She was united in marriage to Dale Thompson on January 16, 1960.

Aria is survived by her husband, Dale, Monroe; three children: Scott Thompson (Katie Kineally), Terri Meinerz (Tim) and Thor Thompson (Konnie); eight grandchildren: Connor (Jen) Thompson, Rachele (Mitchell) Wilkinson, Joe (Carolyn) Meinerz, Logan Meinerz, Martin (Angie) Meinerz, Ben Thompson, Kaitlyn Ganz and Reina Ganz; 14 great-grandchildren: Brady Conklin, Elise Meinerz, River Meinerz, Foster Meinerz, Ori Meinerz, Leo Meinerz, Jolene Wilkinson, Briar Wilkinson, Ben Singler, Adam Singler, Carlyn Ganz, Violit Rodriguez, Paislee Rodriguez and Isaac Ganz.

Private graveside services will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. There will be no visitation. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family. Condolences may be shared at www. newcomerfuneralhome.net.
