Winifred Kaiser
Winifred Elizabeth Kaiser, 99, died on Good Friday, April 3, 2026, in Weston.
Winifred was born April 25,1926, in Marshfield to the late John and Lillian (Cizek) Lensmire. Winnie grew up in the Marathon area and worked in the family cheese factory, where she aspired to become a cheesemaker. She married Virgil 'Butch' Kaiser on September 24,1947, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marathon.
Winnie was a loving wife, mom, farmer, factory worker and ginseng grower. She loved walking, playing cards, shooting buckets with her grandkids and dancing.
Survivors include her children: Jackie (Larry) Meyer of Holcombe, Peter Kaiser of Lansing, Michigan., A1 (Michele) Kaiser of Wausau, Deb (Marc) Wolding of Amherst, Randy (Lisa) Kaiser of Wausau and Kim Kaiser of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren: Troy (Sherry) Meyer, Justin (Jennifer) Meyer, Chris (Danyelle) Kaiser, Ryan (Jami) Kaiser, Adam (Monica) Kaiser, Anna (Erik) Christenson, Brook (Josh) Nickel, Adam McCarthy, Jordan Selbo, Spencer (Jenny) Selbo, Paige (Mason Reisdorph) Selbo and Jessica Wolding; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is her sister, Joan Wirkus; brother, John Lensmire; sisters-in-law: Anna Mae Rasmussen and Marge Krautkramer, and many nieces and nephews.
Winnie was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil (Butch) Kaiser, daughter-in-law, Donna Kaiser, granddaughter, Erin Wolding, parents, Lillian and John Lensmire, brothers: Warren (Grace) and Calvin (Alvina) Lensmire, sister, Mae (Lee) Gliniecki, sister-in-law, Lynn Lensmire and many other in-laws.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 6101 Zinser Street, Weston, WI54476. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
