Dennis Foster
Dennis Foster, age 88, passed away at his home in Fall Creek on March 28, 2026. Dennis was born August 19, 1937, to Marcellus and Carol Foster in Park Falls. He graduated from Colby High School in 1955.
During his high school years, he played basketball and baseball.After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Navy and was aboard the USS 394 Razorback submarine for the majority of his Navy career from 1955-1958. During this time, the Navy allowed the opportunity for him to see the world and play baseball, all while traveling aboard the Razorback.After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he then returned home.
He married the love of his life, Judy Fike, on February 7, 1970.He owned and operated a successful steel erection company, Dennis Foster Builders. They welcomed two children, Jennifer (Steinke) and Joan (Foster) in 1977 and 1979. They built a beautiful life and home together in Fall Creek. Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time on the deck with his wife overlooking the pond, and giving 4-wheeler and tractor rides to his grandchildren. His laugh was infectious and his smile lit up his face. He leaves behind a legacy of memories that will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his two daughters: Jennifer (Brent Steinke) and Joan (Foster); his seven grandchildren: Isabella, Rheanna, Brennan, Evan, Ethan, Katelynn and Emmalee; his brother, Eugene Derfus; nieces and nephews, cousins, numerous other relatives and friends, including his two best hunting buddies, Joe Greatens and John Hubbard.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Judy, his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Richard & Leslie, and grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway from noon - 4 p.m. A memorial service will start at 3 p.m. with military honors at 3:45 p.m.
