Carmen Hainzlsperger
Carmen L. Hainzlsperger, age 89, of Unity, passed away with family at her side on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, at her home under the tender care of St. Croix Hospice.
A prayer service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, at First United Church of Christ in Colby. Interment to follow at the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Colby. The Rev. Teri Hanson will preside. Family and friends are welcome from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Monday at the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Colby is entrusted with arrangements.
Carmen Lucile Flick was born on July 21,1936, the daughter of Charles and Norma (Voelker) Flick in the Town of Colby. She lived her entire life in the area. Carmen graduated from Colby High School in 1954. She was united in marriage to Raymond Hainzlsperger on August 21,1969, at St Mary Catholic Church in Colby. They lived in the Town of Hull on Raymond’s family farm until her death and his death on April 24, 2018.
Carmen was a devoted member of First United Church of Christ in Colby. She worked as a photo colorist for several photographers throughout Wisconsin for 30 years. Carmen loved this work and also enjoyed crocheting, gardening, tending to her flower beds, the outdoors, feeding the birds, loved her cats, reading and word search puzzles.
Carmen is survived by her loving sister, Priscilla Adams of Virginia and her beloved brother, Wayne (Pat) Flick of Horicon; two sisters-in-law: Gail Flick of Colby and Virginia Morrow of Marshfield; several nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters: Janet Wendling and Ellen (Arthur Remus and LaVern) Landwehr and a brother, Charles Flick; five brothers-in-law: Leroy, Joseph, John, Harold and Ervin Hainzlsperger; three sisters-in-law: Eleanor Moeller, Florence Schneider and Viola Kleinschmidt and a niece, Patricia Stephani.
