Eugene “Gene” M. LeTendre
Eugene “Gene” M. LeTendre passed away at the age of 79, Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, at 6:55 a.m., at the Essentia Health Center in Virginia, Minn.
Gene was born and raised in Chippewa County, graduating from Cadott High School. He owned and operated his dairy farm for many years, before retiring to enjoy full-time hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife – Carol, of 36 years; is remembered by his children – Cheryl (Jeff) Turner, Kenosha, Denise LeTendre, Cornell, Jean (Joe) Alger, Thorp, Jim (Chris) LeTendre, Holcombe, Toni (Tony) Sieg, Maryland, and Rich (Julie) LeTendre, Elk Mound; is also remembered by his step-children – Cathy (Richard) Boneska, Kip (Catherine) Krueger and Kim (Leah) Krueger; and many nieces; nephews; cousins; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeced in death by his parents – Roy and Luella LeTendre; his brother – Roy LeTendre; sister – Nancy Helstad LeTendre; sisters-in-law – Mary Ann LeTendre; and great-granddaughter – Aubree Jean LeTendre.
The services for Gene will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Cornell, Thursday, Aug. 13. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Mark Williams.
Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, in the Arthur Township.
