Noah James Ewings
Noah James Ewings of Gilman, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 17, 2026. Born July 30, 2018, he had just celebrated his 8th birthday. Noah was entering the third grade at Thorp Elementary School. Noah loved animals and enjoyed helping with the chores on the family farm. He was actively involved in baseball and other sports at school. He loved showing his calves with his family at the four different local fairs they attended.
Noah also actively attended St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cornell. He loved his family, big sister Ella, brothers Mark and Liam, and his Mommy and Daddy. He had a big heart, a loving personality, and lit up the room when he bounced into it. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Samantha (Hulle) Ewings; sister, Ella Ewings; brothers, Mark and Liam Ewings; grandparents, Bruce Ewings, Sr., Annie Hulle, and Dave Barrett, Randy and Barbara Hulle; great-grandmother, Frances Hulle; aunts, Lynn (Jake)

Tarrell, Debbie (Matt) Krenz, and Missy (Jon) Goettl; uncles, Bill (Angela) Ewings, Levi (Bethany) Ewings, Blane (Kim) Hulle, and Shane (Meaghan) Hulle; cousins, Maya, Jack, and Lily Tarrell, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Luke, and Rebekah Krenz, Emily and Lacie Schutz, Andrea, Baleigh, and Carley Ewings, Natalie Bowe and Taylor Bowe, Claire Ewings, and Addison, Tucker, and Jasper Hulle; as well as many loving extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Diane Ewings; and his great-grandparents, Raleigh and Florence Ewings, Dayton and Ruby Hickey, and Wisner and Gladys Buckbee and David Hulle.
A Funeral Service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 700 Thomas Street, Cornell, with Pastor Chris Christenson officiating.
A Private Family Interment took place at the Yellow River Cemetery, Town of Colburn following the services.
A visitation was held from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026 at the Borton-Leiser Funeral Home, 220 S. 7th St., Cornell, and also one hour prior to the services Thursday morning at the church.
