Carol Busse
Carol Mae (Miller) Busse, age 93, of Medford, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Country Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Medford, surrounded by her loving family under the tender care of Hope Hospice.
Carol was born November 5,1932, the daughter of Raymond and Florence Miller Sr. She graduated from Colby High School in 1949. On September 23, 1950, Carol was united in marriage to Marvin O. Busse at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Grove. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2017.
Together, Marvin and Carol farmed in the Town of Mayville for over 50 years. Carol was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, for many years. Carol enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and dancing to polka music. After retirement, Carol became an avid reader. Most importantly, Carol cherished her family. She so enjoyed spending time with her family, including road trips to visit her children at their homes.
Carol is survived by her eight children: Susan Buchholz of New Franken, Rev. Robert (Carol) of Princeton, Wayne (Laura) of Amery, Brian (Julie) of Suamico, Barry (Marge) of Wausau, Steven (Kelly) of Prescott, Sharri (TJ) Stroinski of Medford and Kristi (Chuck) Tlusty of Medford; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, David Miller of com.

Rockford, 111., and sister, Annette Weichelt of Novinger, Mo., nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Marvin, she was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Florence Miller Sr., brother, Raymond Miller Jr., son-in-law, Steve Buchholz, and her grandson, Shawn Buchholz. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford. Rev. Ralph Shorey will preside. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers and plants, the family requests memorials to be given to Christ Lutheran Church of Abbotsford or Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of Medford.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Country Gardens Assisted Living, as well as Hope Hospice, for their wonderful care, compassion and tenderness bestowed upon Carol.
