Veronica “Roni” A. Madlon
1956-2026
Veronica “Roni” A. Madlon, 69, of Jump River, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Marshfield Medical Center-Ladysmith. She was born on Oct. 1, 1956 in Ladysmith, the daughter of the late Earl Kennedy Sr. and Charlotte (Tunnison) Cicha. Roni grew up in the Ingram area and went to Flambeau High School.
She married Gordon Lee Madlon on Dec. 14, 1974 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Ingram. The couple settled on a farm near Jump River and raised their family there. Roni worked for many years at Phillips Metasize (Phillips Plastics) in Medford.
She enjoyed being with her family on the farm, taking care of all the critters, puzzles, and simply enjoying what was available to her for a full life.
She is survived by her children, Sherry Madlon, of Middleton, and Jesse Madlon, of Glen Flora; three grandchildren, Angel, Alexandraea, and James; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Gordon, and another on the way; and her brothers, Daniel (Sandy), of Markesan, and Earl (Tammy) Kennedy, of Eau Claire.
Roni was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon (2021); father, Earl Kennedy Sr.; stepfather, Norbert Cicha; and mother, Charlotte Cicha; a grandson, Kenneth; a daughter-in-law, Lena Madlon; sister, Annette Bisson; and brother, Mike Kennedy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 13, 2026 at the Jump River Community Park Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
