Elaine F. Paulson, passed on April 7, at Aspirus Care and Rehab Center in Medford. Born Aug. 5, 1935 to Charlotte (nee Rust) and Art Johnson, Elaine graduated from Medford Senior High School and then pursued college in La Crosse. Leaving college to marry Lawrence (Larry) Hoffman, she then worked for the Medford School District for the next 25 years.

After Larry’s death, she married William (Bill) Paulson. They both shared a love for antiques and Elaine truly enjoyed collecting, decorating, sharing time with family and friends, and her favorite color red.

She resided at Aspirus Care & Rehab Center for the past six years, always looking forward to choosing her jewelry for the day, playing cards with her sister and friends, and especially bingo.

Elaine is survived by daughters, Heidi (Todd) Green, of Wausau, and Sandra Klingbeil (Mark) Adkins, of Madison; granddaughters, Ivy (Duane) Apfel and Emma (Chris) LaPine, both of Rhinelander; her devoted sister, Marilyn (Dick) Miller, of Medford; and numerous friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Hoffman; husband, Bill Paulson; brother, Charlie Johnson; sister-in-law, Phyllis Abbott; nephew, Jeff Miller; and many others dear to her.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all the staff at Aspirus Care & Rehab Center for their exceptional care and kindness to Elaine over the years.
