Rodney Hawks
Rodney P. Hawks, age 84, of Abbotsford, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the Marshfield Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 until 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Military honors will be provided by the Colby VFW Post #2227 at 2 p.m.
Rodney was born on November 14, 1941, the son of Allan and Norma (Lokken) Hawks in the Town of Maplehurst, Taylor County. He graduated from Abbotsford High School. On June 22, 1968, Rodney was united in marriage to Inge Fuhrman in Marshfield. They later divorced. He owned Rod’s Customs and also painted signs. When he was younger, he worked at Pathfinders in Marshfield.
Rodney was a member of the Army National Guard from 1961-67 and was called to active duty to Fort Lewis in Washington from 1961-62. He was a member of the Curtiss Lions Club and active with the Gideons International. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and traveled to 49 states, Europe and Mexico. He also liked to entertain at local nursing homes by singing.
Rodney is survived by his daughter, Renata Hawks of Jackson; a granddaughter, Lillian “Lily” Rose; one sister: Linda (Larry) Lundt, Clintonville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Radley; one sister, Shirley and four brothers: Dean, Bob, David and one at infancy.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials directed to the Curtiss Lions Club.
