Michael Bruce Dietzler
1965-2026
Michael Bruce Dietzler, age 60, of Burnsville, Minn., passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 25, 2026. Born on Nov. 9, 1965, in Minneapolis, Mike was the son of Bruce and Joan (Chaplinski) Dietzler. He graduated from Burnsville High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and psychology from the University of Minnesota–Duluth. Mike built a fulfilling career as a land surveyor with Probe Engineering, where he dedicated more than 30 years.
Mike was the kind of person who was always willing to lend a hand or an ear to those he loved. He treasured his circle of lifelong friends—more like brothers and sisters—who appreciated his dry humor, generosity, and quiet, unassuming nature.
An outdoor enthusiast at heart, Mike especially cherished hunting and fishing with his father, family, and friends. He loved spending time at the family’s lake home in Danbury, making memories around the fire, enjoying nature, and sharing laughter. He found joy in NASCAR, country music, photography, and meteorology. Mike also had an enduring love for anything with a motor—trucks, ATVs, snowmobiles, boats, chain saws, and an evergrowing collection of power equipment.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Bruce. He is survived by his mother, Joan Dietzler; sister, Jenni (Tom) Reynolds; niece and nephew, Katie and Joe Reynolds; and many extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at White Funeral Home, 12804 Nicollet Ave., Burnsville, MN. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 5 p.m. Private inurnment at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Gilman at a later date.
Memorials will be donated to the Animal Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
