Dolores June Everhard
1934-2025
Dolores (Lori), an only child, was born to Richard and Rose Carle of Milwaukee. She was a āmiracleā baby, weighing only 2 lbs. 2 oz. She died peacefully at her home in Abbotsford on Nov. 10, 2025, at the age of 91. A sense of family was engrained in Lori from little on. She grew up in a big Italian family spending Sundays with many relatives eating, dancing, and singing to their own family band. After graduating from Washington High School in Milwaukee, Lori attended WI State College and went to modeling school. She worked at American Motors and Harley Davidson before meeting the love of her life, Reverend Robert (Bob) L. Everhard. They were married on Aug. 3, 1957 and were married for almost 61 years. They resided in Lodi; Hillside, Ill.; and ultimately in Abbotsford.
Lori was a wonderful Presbyterian ministerās wife, accompanying her husband to hospital calls; visiting the elderly; helping out at church; and entertaining parishioners. She was an active member of all the churches that she and Bob served, with the last one being First Presbyterian Church of Abbotsford.
Lori was also a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She showed her love through cooking and baking. She was best known for her āGrandma Loriā breads which she baked lovingly for her family and friends.
Lori loved the Lord and trusted Him to guide her in life. She was grateful for all of Godās blessings and was a Christian example to all who knew her.
May Lori rest in peace with her Heavenly Father and all those special to her in Paradise.
Lori is survived by two children, Darlene (Stephen) LaFave, and Donald (Gloria) Everhard; six grandchildren, Julie Sook, Penny (the late Keith) Gattis, Robert (Lindsay) Everhard II, Michael (Stephanie) LaFave, Carolyn (Logan) Wright, and Dalton (Abby) Everhard; 12 great-grandchildren, McKenzie, DeLaney, Elise, Ames, Eli, Atlee, Oona, Nolan, Lydia, Amelia, Redick, and Sophie June. She is also survived by family friend, Bonnie Brodziski; nephews; nieces; cousins; and friends.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dexter Everhart also known as Dale Everhard; sister-in-law, Vernell Fishleigh; and brother-inlaw, John Fishleigh.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Aspirus In-Home Hospice team and our dear friend, Fran Oliveri, for the compassion and care shown to Lori.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford, on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026. Visitation is from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., followed by the church service and a luncheon.
