Abagail Alcala

Abagail Marie (Braune) Alcala, age 32, passed away on October 30, 2025.

Abagail was bom on June 13, 1993, the daughter of Steven Braune and Tina Bartnik at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Abagail’s a lifelong cat lover, shared her home with many feline companions over the years. Abagail’s creative soul danced between colors and melodies, expressed through her drawings and singing. Above all, her heart overflowed with love for her children. Her kindness and creative spirit touched many lives and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Abagail is survived by her husband, Ruben Alcala; her two children: Julienna and Cameron; her mother and step-father: Tina (Jody) Brossow; brothers: Jake Brossow and Cole (Christen) Brossow. She is further survived by aunt and uncles: Michelle (Greg) Harma and Kenneth Bartnik; and maternal grandparents: Roger and Irene Bartnik.

She was preceded in death by her father, Steven M. Braune and her paternal grandparents: Rudolph (Rudy) Braune and Isle Schmidt.

Amemorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6,2025, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Milan. Father George Graham will preside. Friends are welcome to greet the family at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.
