James Robert Morrison James Robert Morrison
2017-2025 James Robert Morrison, age 8, Phillips, passed away Aug. 28, 2025. He was anxious to be born, making his dad and mom rush to the hospital Jan. 21, but he listened to his parents and waited with his mom on bed rest in Wausau, and on Feb. 20, 2017, Sweet Baby James was born. Always the little ray of sunshine, he was a very happy, energetic baby. He was joined with little brother Luke in January of 2019, who he absolutely adored and are affectionately known to friends and family as the Dynamic Duo. James, from a little boy, was a builder, creator and chef. He loved going with his mom to vendor events to sell his homemade crafts, which soon evolved into a tent at the end of the driveway selling his crafts along with fresh squeezed lemonade, firewood, and apples, with the help of his little brother. He enjoyed collecting coins and Pokémon cards and awesome cool rocks. He loved planning and DJ-ing parties, designing and building forts, cat houses and deer stand and everything he could imagine. He loved fishing, rock hunting on the shores of Lake Superior, hobby farming, by age 6 knew 5 different ways to build a campfire, loved outdoor cooking, and playing outside in the dirt with his brother and cousin. He attended Prentice Elementary and besides playing with his friends and classmates and little brother, he loved Math, Science, Music, Phy Ed. and Art. He really enjoyed playing special activities and getting candy to share with his classmates. Anything he wanted to learn more about, if dad or mom didn’t know, he would look up a video, learn how to do it and whatever he would need for it. He was very highly motivated, smart, generous and kind, much like his daddy, he had a huge heart of gold. He was so excited to work with his daddy, who already hired him as a helper for daddy’s business, and when he grew up was going to be a contractor and work with his dad and brother in HVAC. James was preceded in death by his dad, Bob; and Aunt Stacey. He is survived by his mother, Naomi; brother, Luke; grandparents, Sue (Dale) Tenut, Gordon (Jeannette) Lukes, Gary Morrison; uncles, Cody Lukes, Nathan (Erin) Timmers, Dustin Timmers; aunts, Ariel (Arthur Vinzant) Timmers, Tia Timmers and Jodi Schmies; cousins, Ava and Alexa Lukes, Cyress, Clayton, and Casper Timmers, Aspen Vinzant, Bohdi Reisner and Clyde Timmers, David, Ashlynn and Allie Schmies; numerous other relatives and friends.
