Marilyn L. Mueller


Marilyn L. Mueller, 78, of Medford, died Monday, July 14, 2025 at her home while under the care of Aspirus Hospice. She was born Jan. 16, 1947 in Steamboat Springs, Colo. to Charles and Dorothy (Hoff) Weeks. Her family moved to the Medford area when Marilyn was 7 years old. She graduated from Medford High School, then continued her education at Wausau Technical College, earning a degree in bookkeeping.
On July 13, 1968, she married Neal Mueller at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in the town of Holway. They resided in the town of Little Black.
Marilyn worked as a bookkeeper for Klinner Accounting for many years, then as the secretary at Trinity Lutheran Church. She retired in 2008 but continued to be a volunteer bookkeeper for the Orphan Grain Train and Abiding Care in Medford.
She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and belonged to the Ladies Aid there. She also taught Sunday school, VBS and was Sunday School Superintendent. She also belonged to the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Lutheran Laymen’s League, and Lutheran Hour Ministries.

cross stitching, Swedish weaving and sewing. She also loved baking, and was known for her cookies, cakes, and pies.
She is survived by her husband Neal of Medford, children, Cindy (Larry) Clark of Midland, Mich., Amy (Steve) Guajardo of Madison, Mark (Jennifer) Mueller of Lorena, Texas; siblings, Francis Weeks of Peoria, Ariz., Robert (Kathy) Weeks of Stoddard, Kenneth (Carol) Weeks of Bemidji, Minn., Bonnie (Dave) Gneiser of Berlin, Linda (Dan) Argus of Helenville; three grandchildren, Matthew Clark of Valparaiso, Ind., MacKenzie Mueller of San Antonio, Texas, and Christian Clark of Lansing, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret in infancy; one miscarried child; and sisterin-law, Susan Weeks. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church on Dassow Ave., with Rev. Ralph Shorey officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4–7 p.m., Friday, July 25 at Trinity Lutheran Church, with a prayer service to conclude the evening at 7 p.m. led by Rev. Shorey. Visitation will resume Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., also at the church.
Memorials in Marilyn’s honor may go to the Orphan Grain Train or to Lutheran Hour Ministries.
