Janice Kiefer

Janice (Jan) M. Kiefer/ Weigel, 75, Stratford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 6, 2025, at the House of the Dove.

A celebration of Jan’s life will be held Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025, from 1-4 p.m. at Klemme Reserve, 119450 North Street, Stratford, WI 54484.

Jan was born April 8, 1950, in Marshfield to Victor and Bessie (Daniels) Weigel. She attended Marshfield Schools and worked in the medical field as well as owning several businesses in the Abbotsford/Colby area. Jan married Ronald Kiefer in 1986 and they later divorced. A lover of birds and plants, Jan was very well known for her gardening. You could tell her what the plant looked like, color, anything and she could tell you exactly what plant you spoke of. She will be very dearly missed by so many people!

Jan is survived by her special friend, Jack Clark; son Brandy Widmann, (Amy Diamond) and children Eric, Shane and Jazmin, and her children Brella & Ezekiel; daughter Tonia Ochoa, children Jenna (Jessie) Shinn and their children Jordan & Jacob; Manuel (Brock) Widmann and their children Anayah, Aden, Paislee and Walker; Miguel (Keira) Ochoa and their children Saylor & Henley; Mikaela Ochoa (Dylan Brusky) and their children Iverson, Oliver and new baby boy due in August.

She is also survived by her sisters: Louann (James) Muranyi and Chery (Mike) Loveland;, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents and her dear pets.

The family of Jan would like to thank the House of the Dove and all the Compassus nurses & CNA’s for their wonderful care! We as a family could not have done this journey
