Stanley I. Carlson Jr.

Stanley I. Carlson Jr., age 86, of Wausau passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, June 24 at Mountain Terrace. Stanley was born on Nov. 13, 1938 in Chicago, Ill., to the late Stanley and Dorothy (Stratton) Carlson Sr. He married his sweetheart, Elizabeth, and had two children, Kim and Paul. He was in the banking business his entire life. After retirement, Stanley and Elizabeth moved to Ogema, where they were very active in the community. He was a board member of Camp Forest Springs in Westboro, a past district governor for the Lions Club and a member of the American Legion.

Stanley is survived by his daughter, Kim (Marc) Brescia; son, Paul (Shari) Carlson; grandsons, Brad (Monica) Brescia, Bryan (Kristen) Brescia, Ryan Carlson and Evan Carlson; and five greatgrandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Corine De Velasco; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Elizabeth A memorial service will be held at a later date. Brainard Funeral Home – Weston is assisting the family.
