Gary Klocke

Gary Alan Klocke, age 86, of Orangeville, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at his home. He was born the son of Herman and Irene (Neibacher) Klocke on May 17, 1939, in Curtiss. He was a graduate of Owen High School; he later earned his degree in finance from Roosevelt University. Gary was united in marriage to Carol Seidel on Aug 22, 1957, in Dorchester. Gary proudly served in the Army National Guard. He worked at Woolworth Company for several years; he was later the patient’s account manager at Freeport Memorial Hospital until his retirement. He had also been an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Freeport for many years, serving as a Deacon and volunteering his time to help others in the community. He was also a farmer for many years and enjoyed working the land and caring for his livestock. Gary was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and a proud stockholder. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attending their sporting events; he quickly became a proud Monroe Cheesemaker fan. Gary is survived by his daughters: Sandra (Keith) Lang and Sue (Cathy Burbury) Klocke; daughter-in-law, Anna Klocke; grandchildren: Amanda Schwartz, Jason, Michael and Gary (Holly) Lang, and Daniel and Ashley Klocke; many great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Deb Klocke; and brother-in-law, Norm Heintz. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol; son, Thomas; siblings: Audrey Heintz and Bruce Klocke; and good friend, Joyce Root. A visitation will be held at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe from 3-6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. A time of remembrance and storytelling will begin at 6 p.m. Burial will take place on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery in Curtiss.
