Luella “Audrey” Hardrath, age 93, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 27, 2025 under the tender care of Compassus Hospice. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Maurina Schilling Funeral Home, Abbotsford. Reverend Teri Hanson will officiate. Interment to follow at the Christ Lutheran cemetery in Abbotsford. Please join the family for visitation, prior to service on Saturday, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.

Luella was born on Oct. 4, 1931, the daughter of Albert and Anna (Baronsky) Leu in the Township of Holton, Marathon County. She attended Colby Schools and graduated in 1949. On May 19, 1951, Luella was united in marriage to the love of her life, Carl Hardrath Sr. at St. Peters Lutheran Parsonage in Dorchester.

She worked at the Abby Egg Plant and Streckert Doors briefly and enjoyed being a homemaker and a mother to her and Carl’s five children, Leonora, Carl Jr., Michael, Annette and Albert. She loved her family dearly and was always helpful to them.

She enjoyed her flowers, crocheting, gardening and watching the birds. Anything to be with family, camping, going for walks, going to grandchildren’s school events, out to eat or fishing. She never turned down a card game, especially 500 Rummy.

Luella is survived by her four children, Leonora (Harvey) Brzezinski, Carl H. (Linda) Hardrath, Annette (Darrell) Voss, Albert R. (Diane) Hardrath; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Greg) Hoefs of Medford, John Brzezinski of Abbotsford, Kelly (Kyle) Uhlig of Abbotsford, Erin (Jody) Blasel of Medford, Crystal Skipper of Marshfield, Ashley (Travis) McNamar of Abbotsford, Miranda Hardrath and Stephen Lehman of Abbotsford; ten great-grandchildren, Diana Skipper, Donald Skipper Jr., Kaylee Blasel, Alex Blasel, Maridith Hoefs, Madilyn Hoefs, LuElla Hoefs, Brett Hoefs, Tyler Hoefs, Lillyan Brzezinski; one great-great grandchild, Leo Hoefs.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, Michael D. Hardrath; one grandson, Jason Hardrath; one great-grandchild, Ceira Hardrath; two brothers, Chester Leu, Gene Leu; two sisters, Bernice Barenquest and Beatrice Leu.
