Leah Kay Petrie

1983-2024

Leah Kay Petrie, oldest daughter of John and Mary Ann (Kimmel) Petrie was born in Whitley County, Ind., on May 7, 1983.

She moved with her family to Wisconsin in Dec. of 2000. Being of a quiet nature and having a warm heart toward her family and friends, Leah was content to live her life at home raising produce and tending her sheep, which she enjoyed for nearly 24 years.

On Jan. 5, 2024, she was diagnosed with cancer of the liver, which she accepted calmly, often expressing that she was resigned to the will of the Lord.

On June 5, 2024, she quietly fell asleep in her home in the presence of her parents and two sisters.

She leaves to mourn her passing her parents; two brothers, Timothy (Cassie) and Samuel (Rhoda); two sisters, Rebecca and Anna; five nephews; two nieces; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
