Jesse Kloth
Jesse J. Kloth, age 65, of Dorchester, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 4, 2024, at UW Hospital in Madison.
A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Christ United Church in Athens. The Rev. Teri Hanson presided. Interment followed at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends were welcomed from 1 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.
Jesse was born on December 1, 1958, the son of Lester and Gertrude (Schwartz) Kloth in Marshfield. He graduated from Colby High School in 1977. Jesse worked at Stratford Homes for many years.
Jesse was a faithful member of Christ United Church in Athens. He had a big heart and loved to help others. Jesse enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching movies, tinkering and traveling. He especially loved going to gun shows all over the Midwest and attending the Iola car show. He had a passion for building anything on two or four wheels and constructing anything his imagination would allow. Jesse loved and cherished his family, especially his children and his granddaughter, Abby, who was his pride and joy.
Jesse is survived by his two children: Nicole (Marc) Kloth-den Otter of Athens and Jeremy (Julia) Kloth of Europe; his granddaughter, Abigail Duerr; his five siblings: Kenneth (Bonnie) Kloth of Merrill, Ruthie Maw of Finger, Tenn., Jerry (Marlene) Kloth of Wausau, Bonnie (Robert) Svoboda of Colby and Lyle (LuAnn) Kloth of Dorchester; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, David and his brother-in-law, Jim Maw.
