Dennis Kaiser

Dennis G. Kaiser, 75, of Edgar, passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side, on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023. Dennis’ death was a result of an ATV accident near his home on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023.

Dennis was born to Ralph and Martha (Andres) Kaiser on June 24, 1948, in Marshfield. On July 5, 1969, he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Emily Knetter. Together they began their family and purchased and operated the Kaiser Family Farm for 37 years. Following the farming years he went to work at Marathon Cheese Corporation until his retirement in 2017 at the age of 69.

Dennis’ goal in life was to be a good husband, father, grandfather and friend. He succeeded greatly in all these areas. In addition to his family, he cherished his faith and was an active lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgar, where he served as a Eucharistic minister, treasurer and above and beyond, volunteer of the Holy Name Society.

In his retirement, Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family, volunteering at St. John’s and all that nature had to offer, especially hunting and fishing.

Those who will cherish his memory include his loving wife of 54 years, Emily; children: Rod (Tracy) of Marathon, Tracy of Edgar and Chad (Barbara) Kaiser of Stratford; grandchildren: Jake (Amber), John and Heath Kavajecz, Kaitlyn, Marissa and Alex Kaiser, Christian and Angel Kaiser; great-grandchildren: Kenzia and Sadie Kavajecz; siblings: Jim Kaiser, Marilyn Hack, Paulette Lang, Barb (Ed) Solinsky and Ed (Elizabeth) Kaiser; sister-in-law, Laurie Kaiser, along with many other relatives and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Martha Kaiser; sister, Sharon Stencil; brother, Mark Kaiser; brother-in-law, Louis Hack and sister-in-law, Florence Kaiser.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgar, where the visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Father Alan Wierzba will be presiding. Following the Mass, he will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery. His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
