John Niemann

John Marlin Niemann, 62, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 4, 2023. John was born June 14, 1961, in Milan, Mich., to Melvin and Susie Niemann.

He was a 1979 graduate of Edgar High School. After high school he discovered the love of truck driving across the country. He married Jean on June 6, 1987, and together they rode the highways across the country. After driving truck, John was currently employed at Greenheck. John will be remembered for his faith, his willingness to help everyone, and his love of family.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Suezann; his mother, Susie; his wife, Jean, and stepdaughter, Mildred.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Melvin and Sharon; his grandmother, Arabella; his siblings: Glenn (Diana), Keith (Fay), Carol, Mark (Jill), Virginia (Michael) and Aaron (Karissa); stepchildren: Erwin (Kim), Paul, Lori (Ken) and Kurt (Laura), and numerous nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at St. John’s High Steeple Lutheran Church on Huckleberry Rd., Edgar, on September 8, 2023, with a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. Memorials can be made to a charity that speaks to your heart.
