Diana Mae Ibis, age 81, of Owen, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022 at her residence surrounded by family under the tender care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. With a special thanks to Lily for her care and support for Diana. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. Family and friends are welcome from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, and from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the funeral home. Burial will take place following the service at the Riverside Cemetery in Withee.

Diana was born on June 9, 1941, the daughter of Herbert and Mary (Hoff) Rodman Sr. in Athens, Wis. She attended Saint Anthony’s Catholic School in Athens and Athens High School. Diana was united in marriage to David A. Woellner Sr. on June 10, 1959 in Athens, they later divorced.

Her second marriage took place on Jan. 23, 1974 to Dennis A. Ibis in Medford. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2012. Diana worked various factory jobs, helped run a cheese factory and owned two bars, one was called the Tin Inn in Kennan, which they sold in 1974 and moved to Withee and bought a bar called D and D bar. They sold the bar in 1992 and moved to Owen.

Diana was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid pool shooter, enjoying league and day long tournaments.

Diana is survived by her four children, Donna Woellner of Owen, Danny (Peg Robertson) Woellner of North Port, Fla., Dean (Candae) Woellner of Elkhorn, and Dale (Margie) Woellner of Withee; 11 grandchildren, Bobby Haizel, Melinda (Lester) Lewis, Celena (Eric) Luchinski, Micheal Haizel, Ashley Eberhardt, Jason (Jennifer) Woellner; step- grandchildren, Charles “Chip” Newman and Cory Newman, Charity, Stephanie, Steven. She is further survived by her siblings, Floyd Rodman of Medford, Glenn Rodman of Kenai, Alaska, and Randy (Linda) Rodman of Milwaukee; sisters-in-law, Dorothy McKinley, Patricia Woellner, Vernell Rodman and Karen Marcon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; son, David “Butch” Woellner Jr.; brothers, Herbert Rodman Jr, and Nyle Rodman; sister, Nancy Heier; brothers-in-law, Fred Ibis, Dennis Heier, Victor Woellner, and Phillip Woellner; and sisters-in-law, Florence Punke, Delores Weiler, Mary Ibis and Shirley Rodman.
