Thomas Raymond Panetti, 67, of Jump River, WI died peacefully in his sleep at home Sept. 17, 2022. A private graveside funeral service was held with Military rites Sept. 20 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Jump River, Wis. Thomas was born Sept. 4, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Louis Panetti & Yvonne Empereur Panetti.

Thomas married Marcia Brunschmid April 30, 1995 in California. He lived in Loves Park and North Park, near Rockford, Illinois as a youngster and on a farm in Poynette, Wisconsin in Junior High and high school. He worked a floor & window cleaning business in high school and graduated from Poynette High School in 1973. After high school, he joined the Army and was stationed in Germany training troops to go to the Vietnam War. His second stint in the Army, Spec IV, he was trained in computers with two years of college having been in the Army for a total of six years. He was a member of the American Legion, Sheldon, WI for thirty-five years. He farmed with his father in Poynette and Sheldon. He worked with his ranch manager father on two ranches in Texas building two ranch houses and working cattle. He worked Texas oil fields, building a high rise building in Austin, Texas, and was in a country western band in Texas. He managed an orange orchard in California, was a trail guide on horseback camping & hunting while working on a ranch near Jackson, Wyo. He worked as a surveyor in Texas and Wisconsin, worked for American Materials, Eau Claire, was a member of Operating Engineers Local 139, Altoona, was foreman building a housing development in Kenosha, WI and lastly was a civil engineer supervisor building wind turbines in Michigan and Oregon. Tom retired in 2011.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Marcia Panetti; his son, Dylan Thomas Panetti (Joslyn); and his grandchildren, Wyatt, Lucy and Jack; and his brother, Scott Panetti, of Texas; his two sisters, Jacqueline Maenius of Texas and Victoria Studer of Switzerland, lastly, his faithful friend, Dusty.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents. Plombon Funeral Home of Stanley & Gilman, Wis. assisted the family with the funeral.
