Scott Alan Grube, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022 in the ER of Aspirus Hospital.

A Memorial Mass for Scott took place at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation was at Holy Rosary on Wednesday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. Scott was born in Des Plaines, Ill. on Jan. 28, 1966 to Gerald and Karon (Dassow) Grube.

In 1972 his family moved to Medford from Illinois in which he attended Holy Rosary School and in 1984 he graduated from Medford Area Senior High School. Scott worked at Weather Shield Mfg. and Tombstone Pizza for a short time. He worked road construction in Illinois for several years. The last 20 years he was District Manager of Colby, Medford, and Neillsville Hardee’s locations and General Manager at the Colby location. He took great pride in his role at the restaurant visiting with everyone. Needless to say he had many, many regular customers who looked forward to great food and great conversation. In his past time he loved to travel with his family to area events and State Parks. He liked woodworking and refinishing old furniture. Scott was also the family mechanic (a skill he learned from his dad) because of this he liked all old and new vehicles, especially sports cars. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Scott is survived by the love of his life, Patty Soltow; children, Brooke (Brandon Van Erp) Grube of Elk Mound, Tyler Grube of Colby, Chase Grube of Medford, Wade (Lynsie) Hebert of Greenwood, Ashton Hebert of Texas, and Samantha (Daniel) Hebert of Milwaukee; sister, Tammy (Dan) Weber of Dorchester; brother, Todd (Diane) Grube of Byron, Minn. and nieces and nephews, Troy (Allie) Petznick, Jamie (Morgan) Crotteau, Tia Weber, Tara Weber, Chad Grube, and Gabrina Grube and grandson, Kaleb Hebert.
