allenbach 1959-2 022 Debra Rose Kallenbach, age 62, of Medford, died Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 9 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 420 Lincoln St., Medford, WI 54451 with Rev. Daniel Iwinski officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen II Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m., Friday, July 8 at Immanuel Lutheran Church and from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Saturday, also at the church.

Debbie was born July 20, 1959 in Milwaukee to Mary and Virgil Richardson. She moved to Taylor County at the age of 14, and later moved to Ladysmith in 1976 where she graduated from Flambeau High School in Tony in 1978.

She married David Kallenbach on Feb. 23, 1980 and resided in Medford until the time of her death.

Debbie worked numerous places after returning to Medford following high school. She worked at Marathon Cheese for 38 years. She enjoyed cooking and worked at various restaurants over the years and most recently she was employed as a cook at Immanuel Lutheran Day School. In her free time she enjoyed

sewing and crocheting and providing food for neighbors and friends.

Survivors include her husband, David of Medford; their children, Jay (Becky) Kallenbach, Litchfield Park, Ariz., Craig (Kelly) Kallenbach of Stevens Point; grandson, Renly Kallenbach of Stevens Point; her mother, Mary Rutz of Apache Junction, Ariz. She is further survived by sisters, Erin Richardson of Colo., Kim Richardson of Milwaukee, Donna (Brian) Berry of Plover, Debra (Tom) Allen of Wautoma, Denise (Bob) Upton of Bancroft; brother, David Rutz of Plainfield; brothers and sisters-in-law, William Kallenbach of Algoma, Carol (Don) Krumm of Schofield, Martin (Janice) Kallenbach of Medford, Terry (Barbara) Kallenbach of Medford, Wendy Thompson of Oak Creek, Delvin Smith of Medford, Debbie Loewenhagen of Holmen, Phyllis Cicha of Weyerhauser; and nieces; nephews; other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Richardson; mother and father-in-law, Gerald and Evelyn Kallenbach; step-father, Dale Rutz; sister, Cathy Smith; brothers, Larry Richardson and Dennis Richardson; and brother-in-law, Robert Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran School hot lunch program or memorials to be designated at a later date.
