LaVerne Call

LaVerne M. Call, 90, Athens, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at Athenian Living, Athens, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

She was born Feb. 1, 1931, in Northbook, Ill., daughter of the late Jacob and Clara (Lass) Glauner. On Aug. 26, 1950, she married Daniel Call in Evanston, Ill. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2010.

Survivors include four children: Jeannie (Everett) Christopherson of Athens, Robert Call of Athens, James (Tami) Call of Wisconsin Rapids and Keneth (Sonia) Call of Wausau; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Martin Glauner, Northbrook, Ill.

Besides her parents and husband, Daniel, she was preceded in death by five brothers: Leroy, Eugene, Warren, Norman and Richard Glauner; and one sister, Elaine Barber.
