“Marie” Mary Louise Webster, 83, of Gilman died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021 at home. She was surrounded by her loving family praying, reciting the Rosary, singing, and letting her know how loved and appreciated she was and always shall be.

A funeral mass and the celebration of her life will take place in the Spring of 2022, to be announced at a later date.

Marie was born Aug. 25, 1938, to the late John Valentine and “Mary” Maria Agnes Grabowski. She grew up in the area and graduated from Gilman High School. She married Clarence “LeRoy” Webster, Jr. (deceased Mar., 19, 1996) Feb. 7, 1959, and they began their family of eight children.

Marie worked as a secretary, farm wife, EMT, Gilman Bar Café owner, and was the owner/operator of The Kountry Kettle restaurant for over 24 years. Her faith informed her whole life and she was a formidable prayer warrior for all. She belonged to Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church being active in the Rosary Society and Ladies Guild. She loved sharing her faith with the youth through teaching catechism for many years. She was also a member of the Lioness Club and the Red Hat Society. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking, was a voracious reader, crossword puzzle enthusiast, and player of all card games.

She is survived by her children, Sandra (Ramazan “Rambo”) Bijani of Martinez, Ga.; Jeff (Lisa Teske) Webster of Wausau; Mona of Lake Hallie; Kelly (Lynn) of Gilman; Lisa (Kent Yee) of Bellevue, Wash.; George (Jeanette Fairbanks) of Jackson, Wyo.; Wade of Cedarburg; and Luann (Reena) Marston of Seattle, Wash. She has 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Her surviving siblings are, Theresa Rita of Elgin, Ill.; Josephine Rogalski of Crystal Falls, Mich.; Agnes Langeberg of Wisconsin Rapids; Victoria Gray of Eau Claire; John Grabowski (Laurette) of Auburn, Wash.; and Anthony (Jan Brylow) Grabowski of Rhinelander.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Kopacz.
