Harold “Bud” Odau

1926-2021

Harold “Bud” Odau, 94, originally of Westboro passed away June 1, 2021 in Colorado. Graveside service for Bud and Gladys will take place at Mt. Olive cemetery, Westboro, Saturday, Aug. 21 at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome.

He was born July 8, 1926 to George and Amelia (Kruschat) Odau. Bud served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater. After the war he studied music at the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point. He married Gladys Petersen on Aug. 20, 1947 and they were married 70 years. They lived and worked in Chicago for three years before returning to Westboro to operate the Phillips 66 station purchased from his father. They moved to Colorado in 1996.

He is survived by his children, Jamey, Suzanne, Brian, Kelley and their spouses; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild due in July.

Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys in 2018.
