Virginia was born on Oct. 2, 1928, in Northville, Mich., the daughter of Lawrence E. and Lucy L. (nee Petrowski) Witter. She was raised in Wausau and was the eldest of seven siblings.

She was devoted to her family at an early age and helped raise her younger siblings after the passing of her father. She graduated from Wausau High School in 1946. She married Roland “Rolly” Sacho in 1947 and raised three children in Medford. They later divorced. Her love and support for her children and all her family was evident throughout her life.

Virginia had a strong Christian faith and desired the same for others. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church for 70 years and often sang in the choir. She enjoyed traveling, music, gardening, reading, following sports teams and trips to casinos with friends. She was a creative seamstress and often was knitting or crocheting a beautiful piece to give to others. She especially enjoyed connecting with those she loved. She was surely blessed with wonderful, caring friends and family who were a gift to her.

Survivors include her children, Gregory (Christine Secorsky) Sacho of St Louis, Mo., Bradley (Arlene) Sacho of Vancouver, BC, Canada, Maribeth Sacho of Shorewood; brother, DuWayne (the late Dawn) Witter of Rhinelander; nieces; nephews; cousins; former sisters-in-law; step-grandchildren; and their families; other relatives; and treasured friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings; and their spouses, LaVern (Rose Mae) Witter, Janette and Jerome Witter (infant twins), David Dean (Barbara) Witter, and Lawrence “Buddy” (Joan) Witter II.
